Bike Marking Event – Bromsgrove Carnival/Green Fair Sat 11 Jul 13:00

Dear Resident, 

We’re encouraging residents to protect their bikes and reduce the risk of theft by attending our upcoming free BikeRegister bike marking event.

📍 Sanders Park, Bromsgrove

🕐 1pm – 3pm

Bike theft remains an ongoing issue locally, particularly during the summer and at busy events. Simple steps can make a big difference in preventing your bike from being targeted.

At this event, officers will be on hand to:

• Mark your bike with a unique, traceable security code
• Register it on the national BikeRegister database
• Provide crime prevention advice

👉 We strongly advise using a good quality lock and ensuring your bike is properly secured every time it is left, even for a short period.

Why it matters:
Bikes that are marked, registered, and securely locked are far less likely to be stolen—and much more likely to be returned if recovered.

Please bring along any bikes you would like to have marked. Children must be accompanied by an adult, as registration must be completed by someone aged 18 or over.

If you’re unable to attend, we will also be holding another bike marking event on Tuesday 28 July at Bromsgrove Market 11am-2pm.

Working together, we can reduce bike theft and keep our community safe.
